The Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers has written to the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman highlighting the growing discontent among employees and pensioners due to the delay in the announcement of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for the installment effective from 1st July 2025.
Traditionally, the declaration of DA/DR happens in the last week of September with three months’ arrears disbursed in the first week of October. However, as of now, the announcement is still awaited causing widespread concern.
In the communication, Confederation Secretary General S.B. Yadav has also reminded the government that with the Durga Puja festival approaching, employees are expecting the timely release of Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) and Adhoc Bonus. Any delay especially during the festive season adds to the anxiety of the workforce and pensioners alike.
The Confederation has requested the Finance Minister to take immediate action and ensure that the DA/DR orders along with the Bonus notifications are issued without any further delay. Such timely measures are vital not only to uphold the trust of employees and pensioners but also to boost their morale during the festival season.
The Confederation strongly hopes that the government will respond positively and announce the DA/DR, PLB and Adhoc Bonus at the earliest.
